How it works

Type a class or topic in the box at the top of this page. No account is needed.
AI writes 5 multiple-choice questions, and a panel of other AI models checks each one before you see it.

The email also carries a one-click link that creates your free account (no card, no password), with 2 quizzes a month from a topic or your own PDF or Word file.

The short answer

Knowt Ultra costs $24.99 a month, or $95.99 a year billed upfront (Knowt shows that as $7.99 a month). Scholarize Pro costs $6.99 a month or $39.99 a year, and the Finals Pass is $7.99 once for 30 days of Pro with nothing to cancel.

If you only need help through one finals season, the Finals Pass is the cheapest paid option of the two. If you make a lot of flashcard sets and want them free, Knowt's free plan is more generous than ours: read where Knowt is better below.

Knowt's plans (knowt.com/plans, prices checked 3 Nov 2026)

What Scholarize includes

Free plan, no card: 10 AI tutor questions, 2 quizzes and 2 flashcard sets a month, plus the free calculators and study tools.
Pro, $6.99 a month or $39.99 a year: 500 AI tutor questions, 100 quizzes, 100 flashcard sets and 200 document uploads a month. Each AI tutor answer ends with the source it used, so you can check it.
Finals Pass: $7.99 once for 30 days of Pro. It does not renew. Semester Pass: $19.99 once for 4 months of Pro, also with no renewal.
Quizzes from your own material: with a free account, the quiz generator writes multiple-choice questions from a topic or from an uploaded text-based PDF or Word .docx file.
The flashcard generator turns pasted notes into a deck. Full plan details are on the pricing page.

Where Knowt is better

A bigger free plan. Knowt's free plan lists unlimited file creation. Scholarize's free plan stops at 2 quizzes and 2 flashcard sets a month.
Shared study material. Knowt lets you browse 5 million resources made by other users. Scholarize has no shared library on that scale.
Live collaboration. Knowt lists live collaboration as part of its free plan.
Test prep and audio. Knowt Ultra includes AP, SAT and ACT prep, a lecture recording summarizer, a podcast generator and a voice tutor on all files. Scholarize's SAT and AP practice is limited to AI quiz battles, and it has no podcast generator. If those Ultra features are what you use, Knowt is the better fit.
Refunds. Knowt refunds web purchases within 24 hours. Scholarize payments are non-refundable except where the law requires, so the Finals Pass is the low-risk way to try Pro.
Size. Knowt says it has 6,500,000 users. Scholarize is a much smaller product.

Where Scholarize fits

You want paid AI study help for less: $6.99 a month against $24.99, or $39.99 a year against $95.99.
You only need help for finals: $7.99 once covers 30 days, and there is no subscription to remember to cancel.
You want to test yourself before you sign up for anything: the practice quiz at the top of this page needs no account.
